Soldiers Resting is a striking and intimate work featuring two soldiers observed in a solitary and private moment.
Artworks from this series are included in the private collections of Sir Elton John, Stephen Fry, James D. Wolfensohn, (President of The World Bank 1995 - 2005), and Sir Ian McKellen, who opened the artist's third and most recent London exhibition.
"The paintings are dedicated to, and are in honour of, all GLBTI people who have endured the added burden of keeping their sexuality secret while serving their country at war." wrote Watson.
"I have been a proud collector of Ross' paintings for many years. His art is astounding in its beauty, emotion, and reverence for our humanity and the world we live in. His attention to the smallest details, and use of light, dark and colour, rivals art's greatest masters."
James J. O'Donnell, Patron, art collector, NYC
